Guide: How to tell 3 best-selling knee supports apart – and find the best one for you!
Back on Track offers several different types of braces and supports for the knee area; more or less sturdy, with or without stabilising elements; all embedded with our Welltex®️ textile technology. They are intended to soothe, support, promote recovery and facilitate an active life - and contribute to increased well-being while doing so.
However, there are three of them that look particularly much alike: Knee Brace with fastening, Knee Brace X-stretch and Physio Knee Brace. All three are black, tubular, anatomically knitted and stretchy items that are pulled up over the leg to cover the knee.
But there are differences. Most importantly, in the material properties and also in some design features.
This guide will make it easier for you to choose the right one for your needs!
Knee Brace with Fastening
The “Knee Brace with Fastening” is called exactly what it is, no more no less. It is in fact our most 'iconic' product, if there ever was one! Being one of Back on Track’s very first products, it has a long history of successful practical use.
This knee support is quite sturdy and covers a large area above and below the knee joint. It is made from an elastic, but firm, 2-way stretch material, and provides a feeling of stability and compression.
A flexible splint on each side ensures that the fabric stays stretched over the knee without rolling or folding. As the name indicates, it also features a (removable) fastening that keeps it firmly in place by means of hook and loop.
The strong and slightly blunt material is selected for its ability to contain a large amount of Welltex®️ minerals, which will harness and emit far infrared energy harnessed from the wearers body heat.
Suggested uses:
The firm material and the high content of FIR emitting minerals make this support an excellent choice when dealing with knee problems, such as osteoarthritis, overexertion, ache and stiffness. Use it during rehabilitation and recovery – whether this means rest, therapeutic mobility training or exercise.

Knee Brace X-stretch
This knee support shares many features with the “Knee Brace with Fastening” - but lacks splints and stays in place by means of a silicone band on the inside of the upper hemline. It is made for movement; elastic in four directions and knitted into an elaborate anatomical shape with extra freedom of movement over the knee joint.
This knee support is both sturdy and supple, covering the knee joint and the soft tissue surrounding it. It provides the therapeutic effect of Welltex®️ as well as a feeling of compression and increased stability.
Suggested uses:
The firm material and the high content of FIR emitting minerals work together to facilitate movement and training when dealing with knee problems, such as osteoarthritis, overexertion, ache and stiffness. It can be worn before, during and after exercise – to help keep joints and muscles warm and supple.

Physio Knee Brace
Physio Knee Brace is a more flexible version of our traditional black tubular knitted supports. Here, the FIR effect plays the main role; The Physio range is significantly thinner, elastic in both length and width and designed to be worn without being noticed or hardly even felt on the skin. It offers full freedom of movement.
The material is highly breathable, cool and comfortable, and the knee support is anatomically knitted into shape for a close and snug fit.
This knee support is made to provide the therapeutic effect of Welltex®️ while feeling like a second skin. Developed to be sold in pharmacies.
Suggested uses:
Thanks to its thinness and flexibility, this knee support takes up no space and can be worn effortlessly around the clock, and also under fitted clothes. When covering the knee, it will exert a beneficial effect on muscles and joints. This product is often used to alleviate problems such as stiffness, discomfort and swelling.

What they all have in common: the “Back on Track effect”!
Our Welltex®️ textile technology is always the key factor in all our supports and braces. This technology “activates” the material by infusing it with a specific mix of natural minerals. These minerals have the ability to absorb and emit heat radiating from the body, in the form of far infrared energy (FIR) - and the process conveys this ability to the fabric.
FIR is known to stimulate circulation and blood flow into the tissues covered by the Welltex®️ textile. The effect provides excellent conditions for preparation, performance and recovery - but can also help alleviate problems with tense muscles and stiff, aching joints.
A healthy blood flow will make the transport of oxygen, nutrients and waste products more efficient and this, in turn, will support the body's own healing processes.
